is a Special Education Parent Center supported by the NYS Education Department
serving each of the five boroughs of New York City. These Parent Centers
provide information and training, and assist parents in resolving disputes over
special education services. They do not provide legal services or
representation at Impartial Hearings. Contact

York City Department of Education provides statistical
information on all the schools in the City, as well as the Chancellor’s
Regulations, and a variety of other helpful resources about the public school
system. You can also call “212-NEW-YORK” (same as “311” from the City) to determine
a child’s appropriate zone school or region, obtain DOE phone numbers and
request other DOE information.
