The standard mileage rate for the cost of operating your car is 54.0 cents a mile for all business miles driven in 2016. The standard mileage rate allowed for use of your car for moving expenses is 19.0 cents a mile in 2016. The rate for charitable volunteers is 14 cents per mile.
